Hi, I love this component and it's very useful as a Joomla 1.5 user.
I would really like to be able to simply type tags into the bottom the article rather than set them all up before hand and then choose them later.
Is this possible?

Being able to only choose from a pre-existing set of tags is a design choice.

So there is no way of achieving this?
That would be a real shame if so :(
Are there any other joomla 1.5 components that could do this, or could you do custom work for a fee?

Such a feature (creating new tags from the frontend) will likely be introduced in upcoming versions of Custom Properties.
However, since Joomla 1.5 is no longer being officialy supported, that additional feature will affect only Custom Properties for the most current version of Joomla.
