Is there a way to link results directly to article instead of having a "preview"/"detail" of the article?

The results page has a multi-page multi-page structure, to allow a quick back-and-forth access to the detail pages, without the need for loading new content.

There's no parameter to disable the detail pages and point directly to the content item.
However, one could write a customized override to implement that behaviour.
The administrator has disabled public write access.
