Just upgraded to j2.5

Hi I need some help.

I upgraded from joomla 1.5 to 2.5 using a migrator which obviously left the custom properties on the old system. I want to upgrade custom properties but retain the tags I had previously.

What is the best way to do this? Purchase and install the version for j2.5 and then copy over the database tables? or will the old version (Version 1.98.3.3) of custom properties work on j2.5 and then upgrade from there

Otherwise, assuming the migrator did a good job and kept the articles ids unchanged, one can use a few SQL queries.
Note: the tables structure of CP 1.98 are not exaclty the same of those of CP 2.x.
