Invalid arguement when logged in was created by ashburystudios
Good Morning,

I am having an issue with the cp search form. When a user is logged into the website, the search form is replaced with this error.

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/####/public_html/modules/mod_cpsearch/tmpl/default_div.php on line 29

The form renders normally when a user is not logged in, this only occurs when a registered user is logged in to the front end of the website.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

The problem you are reporting suggests that there might be a combination of users permissions, CP fields permission and (possibly) module configuration that triggers this error.

We tried to replicate the problem on our server by trying different setups but we failed.

Could you please let us have temporary access to the backend and to the frontend as registered user?

I'm using this forum to let you know that:
- we received you email
- we replied as soon as we got it
- the email message is unable to reach you. Our server reports this error when trying to deliver the message deferral: CNAME_lookup_failed_temporarily._(#4.4.3)/

Do you have another email address we can use?

BTW: the credentials you gave us don't work :(

Sorry about that,

I've sent you another email with details that i've tested and can confirm will work for you.

If you are unable to get through via email, i will keep an eye on the forum to see how you went.

Thanks

I sent an email through a different provided. Hopefully this one will reach you.

Troubleshooting report:
I found that
- all CP fields have been give 'Guest' accessl level permission.
- the test user I used was not member of the Guest access level group
- hence, after the logging in, there were no CP fields to populate the cpsearch module with

There's indeed a bug, in that we do not catch correctly this occurence of events under some circumastances (no fields available AND text search present).
We'ill fix that in the next version of CP by showing a properly formatted message.
