Issues with loading time

Hello support team,

I'm using CP for a customer, and I encounter long loading times when I use CP search module.

Sometimes, it can take more than 20 seconds to display the search result (with thumbnails)!

I've check the CP directories, all of them are writable, I've check the Joomla tmp directory... All seems good.

I'm using the version 1.98.3.3.

Maybe you have some clues to find a solution ?

Thumbnails should not make a big difference, becaused they are cached. The resizing occurs only the very first time the original image is encountered.

About Custom Properties performance, here's the result of a tests we've done:

We made quite a few tests up to 10k articles and 20k tags assigned, on a very humble server (year 2007, 1GB RAM), and we've never been able to exceed 1.3 sec rendering included. According to our results, search by text is not slower than standard Joomla search nor is slower than regular CP search.
The worst performance are given by a particular combination: all Custom Properties fields as checkboxes, all 20 checkboxes checked.

What makes the SQL query more complex and therefore slower to execute is the number of criteria used for a search: the more the slower.
