Is there any written documentation on the basics of how to configure and use Custom Properties 2.0?

Thanks for your response. I had reviewed that information before and was hoping for something with more detail. From what I have read about CP so far, it seems to be a powerful tool and I want to take full advantage of its capabilities. I have run some tests to see what result I get when I combine the tagging capability with the search and menu modules, but I'm not getting what I'm looking for. Here's what I would like to accomplish:

Lets say I had Custom Properties A - B and C. And each of those Custom Properties had Attributes of 1 - 2- or 3, or some combination of these attributes. Can I create a menu that lists the Custom Properties. When the Custom Property is clicked on in the menu, all Articles with that Custom Property are returned with a new menu that lists each of the Attributes associated with that Custom Property. When an Attribute in this new menu is clicked on, the original result is filtered to only include Articles with that Custom Property and that Attribute. Is this scenario, or something like it, possible?

The scenario you are describing is a drill-down, content-aware search*. Custom Properties doesn't support that search mode.

We did our best to describe how Custom Properties search works, how different criteria are evaluated here .
In extreme syntesis:

different fields are evaluated with an AND condition; different values of the same field are evaluated with an OR condition.

* not very long ago we analysed thoroughly that search logic. Beside some "pitfalls" that make it unsuitable in most situations, we arrived to the conclusion that it takes quite a big a effort to implement it into Custom Properties and that running that kind of searches require _a lot_ of computing power. We decided not to go on.
