Some search result images showing a crosshatch grid of thin black lines.

How can i fix this?

This problem is occurring because the destination picture (thumbnail) is larger than the source image.

Note: we eventually managed to overcome this longstanding issue in the coming release of CP. So, no more grid.
Nevertheless thumbnails created from smaller images are uglier than the regular ones, for obvious reasons.
