is it possible to enable/disable frontend tagging for (some) special categories/ articles?

No. Frontent Tagging is either enable or disabled. You can only decide which user group (Public / Registered / Super user) can make use of frontend tagging.

so, anyway - can I add a user group "Publisher or Author" for frontend tagging, is there a possible workaround ? I would not allow it for registered User.
