Access levels was created by corinnam
Just viewed an old post re Access Levels from 3 months ago with reply from admin saying "a finer access level control on frontend tagging has never been deemed a priority by Cp users".
Here's a user that would very much like to have the access levels I've created available in CP!
With the present settings, my users are able to tag ALL pages on my site, when in fact, they should only be able to tag THEIR OWN article.
Is there any way of working around this?
But this aside, CP is a fabulous extension!

In fact the apparently-too-cumbersome-to-be-worth-a-second-look Joomla 2.5 ACL is gathering some fans.
Althou we're still unconvinced about the need for a an access control with asset-level granularity, we'll likely add support for user-created groups.
At the moment there's no easy fix or workaround that I can suggest.

I was on the edge of purchasing when I saw this. Access levels are a must. I'll check back periodically, though. I like what I'm seeing with CP2 other than no ACL.

I should add, that if I can be assured that ACL is coming soon, I would likely still purchase. The other features are very compelling when compared to other solutions.

I shouldn't say, but your waiting is almost over. We should release the new version in 3 - 5 business days from now. And yes, among the new features there is support for Joomla users groups.
Anyway, wait for the new release to be out before buying.
