sad seo issue with ?layout=blog was created by chilly_bang
Hallo Andrea!
I realized an issue, which makes many SEO-troubles (not unique content). It works so:
if i click on a tag, which is shown with an introtext of article in a category view, so i'm redirected to a page with url like domain.com/cp/tag/testtag-uno.html?layout=blog. If i click on the same tag in the single article view i go to the page with the same url, but without ?layout=blog on the end. On this way we get for each tag 2 working url's.
Can you patch CP so, that ?layout=blog on the end will not added anymore? Or we must 301 redirect all url's with ?layout=blog with htaccess?
Thanks
Evgenij

Hi Evgenij,
The 'layout=blog' is not added by CP. In fact CP has no such thing as a 'blog' layout.
For sure it is added by the SEF component - either Joomla native, or third party.
More likely than not it's the Itemid part of the url (invisible when SEF is enabled) that matches a menu item whose layout is set to 'blog'.
On the CP side you could try different settings with config param: 'Use Itemid'

This issue comes together with following problem: the plugin setting "Tags only in detail view" don't work. Tags are shown in category/blog view with any setting.
btw: itemID setting moved nothing.

Hi Andrea!
I afraid, its cp misbehaviour or server settings fail:(
I maked new clean installation with only latest CP installed: Plugin works not as expected:
- If settings are: show tags on top or bottom and show only in detail view - tags are shown in both category and detail view;
- if settings are: show tags in custom position and show only in detail view - tags are shown only in category view, in detail view is only {cptags} shown.
In category view is ?layout=blog still added to tag url, not dependently of itemID setting.
If you need an account to look into, just say.

to avoid this problem i found this solution here.
There is only issue with ?layout=blog still here, on clean installation too:(
