I just noticed: although I see the properties in the article and in the component, in the component the article id field is empty. is this correct?

You made quite some progress there. A few query failing was not unexpected.

At this stage I believe that the remaining issue is caused by incorrect 'Access level' of Custom Properties fields (in turn caused by different way of storing such parameter in newer CP versions).

You need to:
- edit each Custom Properties field
- make sure the access level is properly set (i.e. Public)
- save
Note: save in any case, event thou they already look correct.

Also, review and save Custom Properties main config options, for the same reason.

The "article id" is a feature added quite some time ago to Custom Properties that let you associate a Joomla article to a Custom Properties value (CPTag), to be used like a tag description and displayed before the actual results. Much like the description of the Joomla category gets displayed before the articles therein contained.

Hello again, I just noticed that I get an "error 500 - Search parameters sent in wrong format" from the search module: neu.oneworldfilmclubs.at/
Any idea how to fix this?

Looking at the way the search URL is composed, it appears it's this problem here:
