Help with error code 1054 was created by firsttpt
I just updated two joomla sites from 2.5.28 to 3.3. The first one, which is the newest site that had little content and "stuff" on it worked perfectly. The second site, which is our current site that has all of our content did not go as planned.
I did not use any service but followed the simple instructions from this site to update from 2.5 to 3.3. Here is the error I received after it finished the install.
1054 - An error has occurred.
Unknown column '' in 'order clause' SQL=SELECT * FROM `zw3mb_postinstall_messages` WHERE `extension_id` = '700' AND `enabled` = '1' ORDER BY `` ASC
Return to Control Panel
I am not an IT person so any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you and happy new year!

Happy new year to you too
It looks like you're not the only one who encountered this issue.
Googling around I found the solution on Joomla forum.
forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=710&t=850588
As far as I can tell, the error is caused by some "un-upgradable" extension.
The solution, according to the forum, is the following one:

The solution, according to the forum, is the following one:
Using your FTP client go into your site's libraries/fof directory. Ignore the subdirectories. Look at the files. You have several files whose names end in .php. Delete all of them EXCEPT the file named include.php. If you remove that file you'll brick your site. If that happens you will need to replace that file with the one found in the Joomla! installation ZIP file

Thank you for the info. I have done what you have said and I can now access the control panel but everything still looks like 2.5 and not 3.3. I no longer get the error but something still is not right since the backend does not appear as 3.3 yet.
Let me know what you need from me to post so that I can help assist in fixing this.
