When you search with Custom Properties you get a list of results in return. In your case, exactly one result is returned, but that's still a list of results and not the original article itself.

That's why you don't see the title of the article as page title.

Do you know how I can remedy this? On our old (current) site we used your plugin for Joomla 2.5 and didn't have this issue. Here is the page on our old site which does show the title of the article: preformed.com/index.php?option=com_custo...submit_search=Search

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!!

I always see the very same page title (as in <title> attribute in <head> section of the HTML source ).
What do you mean exactly for 'top'?

See on this page where it says "PLP Spain" preformed.com/index.php?option=com_custo...submit_search=Search

This is an "h2" which is the Article Title. It displays fine on this old site. But in previous examples I sent on our new site using the CP for Joomla 3.0, there isn't an option to show the Article Title as the Title of the page. Our page just says "search" at the top in place of the h2 which should be PLP Spain: preformed.com/newsite/index.php?option=c...rties&view=search&cp [market][]=energy&cp[country][]=afganistan&submit_search=

There's a CSS rule that hides <dt> elements and, in doing so, it also hides that <dt class="cp-title result-title"> that contains the article title.

The CSS file that with the rule is:
preformed.com/newsite/templates/preforme...ior/css/template.css
Look at line 338

Code:

dt {
    display: none;
}

You should remove that rule or write another rule to target specifically dt.cp-tile and make it visible.
