list of articles by tag - custom layout was created by Martin7
hi SolidSystems,
I have defined my own layout and using it when displaying list of articles by tag as menu item. This works fine:
www.kuchnia-domowa.pl/przepisy/przystawki-przekaski/na-cieplo
But I can not find any way how to use this style or customize anyhow the layout the component uses when displaying articles by tag when user click on tag link, for example under an article or from CPtags module.
In other words how to customize this layout:
www.kuchnia-domowa.pl/component/custompr...es/tag/29?Itemid=366
thanks a lot in advance for any suggestion
Martin

You can try setting parameter 'Itemid' in Content - Custom Properties Tags Plugin.
That *should* redirect the results to a menu item of your choice, with your customized layout.
Note: I'm using the conditional tense, because SEF sometimes gets in the way and prevents the "Itemid" mechanism from working as it does in non-SEF environment.

hi Andrea,
thanks for the answer. I have tried to attach result with any of the menu item of type "Custom Properties" but did not help.
Anyway I dont have any menu item which I could "reuse" generally for such action. Every menu item on my website select articles only from one given category. But list of articles "by tag" selects articles trough all categories.
Do you have any other hint? Can I tell the plugin somehow directly to use my layout? Or can we extend the plugin to set there the layout (similar to configuration of menu item) ?
thanks

You need a target menu of Custom Properties type, to attach your desired set of modules to. It have to be of Custom Properties type so that Custom Properties is triggered instead of another another component.
All other solutions fall short.
Here's the standard and tested "recipe" to do that.

hi Andrea,
ok - I did it (set menuitemId for all modules and plugin) but .. it works for modules but not for the plugin. I mean when I click on any tag generated by any module - it attach to menu item and I see the correct layout. But when I click on any tag generated by the plugin (under article) - it attach to the menu item as well - but the layout is still the default one.
To see please click on any tag under the following article:
www.kuchnia-domowa.pl/przepisy/zupy/423-bulion-warzywny .
thanks in advance
