I don't know about that plugin and I'm not sure it will do any good.
In my experience, the first step is to understand what's happening, which piece of code is triggering the problem.
In this case, since the link that's not working relies on Joomla's 'modal' javascript functions, it's worth to go to the root cause of the problem because it's also possible that the alleged js conflict is indeed effecting other functionalities.
