Hi there,

I am having a real issue with CP Search results page, if I keep the module displayed on this page, Jquery says window.addEvent is not a function, I have tried every possible variation in my knowledge which I see now is very limited, nothing works. I have to turn off that module from displaying.

After turning off SP Search from Results page after searching, I tested the pagination, all I get is errors.

404 - View not found [name, type, prefix]: search, html, contentView

www.csvr.org.za/upgrade/publications/pub...10001,content:138&cp [publications_by_subject][0]=&cp[text_search]=&cp[dr_search_from]=2017-12-05&cp[dr_search_to]=2017-12-29&start=20

I am at my wits end, meeting with client tomorrow and this is my struggle for almost a week now. Please help me urgently!

The main issue seems to be that the search module is *not* pointing to a Custom Properties menu item.

In fact, if I visit:
www.csvr.org.za/upgrade/publications/publications-by-date
I go to a feature-blog standard joomla page.

You should configure the CP search module as described here:
www.solidsystem.it/forum/custom-properti...ayout-page.html#2478

Hi there,

Thanks for the reply. The link you pasted is a 404 error page, please send again?

Also the search by date function only allows searching into the future, is it not possible to search back in time? Seems this is logical to be able to search for an article from 2016 but I get errors saying I have to pick dates from today or in the future.

I have changed the "publications by date" menu item to be a CP menu item, now the pagination works, but I get Jquery errors for window.AddEvent function. Like I posted originally, if the CP search is on the same page as a CP menu item type this conflict seems to occur.

I have tried to stop this from happening but nothing seems to be working.

The suggested configuration is the following:

- Create a new menu.
- Let's call it "hidden"
- Add a menu item of type Custom Properties view = default.
- Name it with something meaningful, because it will show up in the URL (eg "advanced search")
- Save and take note of the Itemid of that menu item.
- Edit the cpmenu module (or the cpcloud module, or the cpsearch module)
- Set the Itemid param to the previously noted Itemid
- Assign the modules to two pages : the one you want to search from, and the new "advanced search" page

About the search by date method, there are two different ways that Custom Proeprties can search by date:
- Event Mode (this mode requires a start date greater that today)
- Standard Mode

The detailed explanation of why is it so is here:
www.solidsystem.it/joomla-extensions/cus...ge_search_event_mode

To be able to troubleshoot the JS error I need to see a live page with the Custom Properties Search module.
Can you provide me with a link

Awesome thanks I have set the page up as described below.

The link to JQ error is below:
www.csvr.org.za/upgrade/publications/publications-by-date

This page is the CP menu item with CP search module that creates the odd JQ error.

I have adjusted the search to the below "standard" search but I cant test due to JQ error on page.

Thanks for your help!
