Changing Field Title

1. How do I put a field title above the checkbox section. I did it but it's still not showing.
2. How do I change the template without going into the code. It looks very crunched together. I like the template on the demo page.

1) set parameter 'Show checkbox field name' to yes, in Custom Proeprties search module.
2) each template has his own system to make customizations. Some allow tweaking the CSS from the administrator control panel, others does not.
The demo site is based on Joomla' standard Protostar template, with no added tweaks.
